Dr Anh Huan Le is a consultant physician, gastroenterologist and hepatologist who has been consulting in the local area for the last six years. After completing his specialist training at the Alfred Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre, he underwent his Fellowship year at Western Hospital. Currently he has public attachments with Monash Medical Centre and Western Health. Dr Le is currently a lecturer in the Department of Medicine at Melbourne University.
Dr Le is available for open access gastroscopy and colonoscopy Western Gastroenterology Services Tuesday and Friday. He is also able to provide capsule endoscopy (pill-cam) for small bowel investigations, and hydrogen breath testing services for mal-absorptive disorders.
Consultation sessions include diagnosis and management of general gastrointestinal and hepatological disorders. His areas of interest include colon cancer, colon polyps as well as Barrett’s surveillance, functional bowel syndrome, peptic ulcers and related reflux disease. In addition to general hepatology, he also provides ongoing management and private treatment of viral Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
Dr Le runs the Pre-operative Assessment Clinic in conjunction with the anesthetic specialist staff to review high risk patients prior to any endoscopic procedures at Western Gastroenterology Services. He is determined to provide a high quality of care and service to the local community.
